Crew Inventories: It's that time of year again. We are conducting crew inventories to make sure that all of the teens in your crew are in our computer system. If the Crew Adviser from each crew can e-mail me a roster at jbickel@colbsa.org by Thursday, December 18 that would be great! If you are a crew member reading this, make sure that your crew adviser gets this roster to me! Thanks!
Liberty Jam '09: The second Council Jamboree will be held on May 1-3 at Green Lane State Park, will you be there? I hope your answer to that question is YES, because this will be a great event! This time there will be a lot of emphasis put on the Teen programs and I need the teens to help make this happen. I know that the programs for teens was less then spectacular last time, but that will be GREATLY improved and we are going to have a great event. If you have any ideas for program then make sure you send me an e-mail. I am looking for 5 or 6 youth to get involved planning this, so let me know if you want to be part of that 5 or 6! A lot of the activities at the Jamboree are run by program partners. Program partners are organizations that work with us, the scouts, to provide activities and other learning opportunities for scouts in our area. If you know any organizations such as Rock Gyms, Canoeing outfitters, camping stores or other adventure business that you have a good relationship with and may be willing to come out to the Jamboree to run an activity please let me know. We are always looking to bring more companies on board, especially on the Teen programs side!
Council Summit: On January 8th, the Cradle of Liberty Council will hold its second Summit to interact with Scouts and Scouters to recap the last year and plan for the future. This year, one of the break-out sessions will be a Venturing break-out, so I hope that many of you attend. MAKE SURE YOU BRING TEENS TO THIS EVENT!! I want to show that Venturing is strong in the COL! For more information on the event, check-out the council's website!

This trail also has a lot of historical significance!
